Sometimes self-care isn’t something fancy like a massage at the spa or getting nails done.
Often it is simply being honest with self. Over the last two weeks I have been battling symptoms such as stuffy nose, congestion, and chills. Thank God not all at the same time.
Meanwhile, I have been nursing the whole house back to health. Yesterday I went to two events. Keys to Building Wealth empowerment seminar was ah-mazing. I learned something new from all the dynamic speakers.
Then I went to a wedding last night.
All with my active one-year old daughter in tow.
I had a planned lunch date today. I really wanted to connect with this beautiful queen. I had to cancel. I felt like my body needed the rest.
So on today’s episode of self-care Sunday… I’m staying home. Writing gratitude thoughts in my journal, while watching my daughter play.
I’m also writing down 3 things I hope to get done this week.
What are you doing today for self-care?
I usually designate Saturdays or Sundays for self-care. Either an at-home pedicure, a facial, or. relaxing massage.
Feeling lost? Here are some self-care strategies:
– Take a nice walk in the park
– Read an inspirational article
– Write down what’s going right in your life.
– DIY a sugar scrub for your hands and feet.
– Stretch
– Put on some positive music and dance
– Phone a friend
