Your sacred space is where you can find yourself over and over again.  ― Joseph Campbell

How are you wrapping up the end of your year? Obviously people want to start the year fresh. However, how do we start fresh when we haven’t let go of the previous year. In addition, when it comes to reflection, don’t just look back- look within to win.  Furthermore, as the CEO of your life you should review your progress routinely and be about your business.

What People Usually Do Each Year

So many people plan vision board parties without pausing to reflect on current habits and successes. In fact, before you start working on those 2021 vision boards and setting those new year resolutions I urge you to take some time to look back at your year.

Right Way to End the Year: In Review

Ask yourself some much needed questions. What were your big accomplishments? Likewise, take a look at current goals- Did you knock out  some goals you had on your current vision or goal board? How were your routines? Were you intentional with self-care and self-work? How did you stay organized? Were your choices and decisions in alignment with your life mission and/or purpose? Did you give yourself grace?

Often times we keep going and going and going. However, we don’t take the time to realize how far we have come.

Pause. Pray. Plan. Prepare. Prosper.

Basically, the end of the year is a great time to assess your personal progress. Quiet as kept, your life is actually a reflection of your thoughts, actions, decisions, and choices. Similarly, reflection means serious thought or consideration.

Here are some great quotes I found about reflection from everydaypower.com https://everydaypower.com/spiritual-quotes/

The spiritual life does not remove us from the world but leads us deeper into it.  ― Henri J.M. Nouwen

Step out of the circle of time and into the circle of love. Rumi

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. – Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Set The Atmosphere

First, reflection requires a quiet spot where you can focus. Next, choose some peaceful music such as, new age or spa music. 🙂 Then, light a candle or throw some essential oils in a diffuser.  Finally grab a nice journal, your favorite gel pen and your favorite drink. Afterwards some afro beats.

Now you should choose the frequency for reflection. Daily- weekly- monthly- yearly. Please don’t choose yearly. The goal is to assess and correct.

Happy reflecting. Post your comments below or send us a direct message instagram.com/tshsociety
